About TCG Emporium

TCG Emporium is a Pokémon card shop for the UK, run by a collector, and it is not open yet. That is not a soft launch or a coming-soon page with a countdown. There is no stock. The site is live because we wanted the rules written down and public before the first card was sold, and because we wanted to hear what people want before we buy it.

What we will carry

English-language Pokémon cards, in three sections that open in this order: sealed product, singles, graded cards. Sealed means booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, booster bundles, packs, tins and collection boxes, listed under the set they belong to. Singles means individual raw cards described to one written condition standard. Graded means slabs from PSA, CGC and other graders, each cert checked on the grader's own site before it is listed.

Japanese cards, other card games and accessories are planned for later and have no pages here yet. We would rather do one thing properly than list everything thinly.

How we will work

Every sealed product will come from a UK or EU distributor, from Pokémon Center or from a retailer, and the page will say which. Nothing from marketplaces or private sellers.

Every single will name its printing and its condition, and the condition words are defined on the condition standard page. Cards above a threshold we will set at opening will be photographed front and back, and the photograph will be the card you receive.

Every slab will be verified on the grader's site and photographed both sides. The checks are on the authenticity page.

The returns policy will be written before the first sale and linked from every product. Until then, there is nothing to return.

Who is behind it

A UK collector who has bought cards from most of the shops you have, and has opinions about how it should be done. The trading name, company details and postal address will appear in the footer and on the contact page as soon as the business entity exists, which is one of the things that has to happen before we sell anything. Until it does, the email address at the bottom of every page reaches the same person.

What you can do now

Tell us what you want. Every set page and product page has an email link, and every message goes onto a list that decides what we stock first. When the shop opens, the people on the list hear first and nobody hears about anything else.
