Pre-order information
We do not take pre-orders. The shop has not opened, so there is nothing to reserve, nothing to pay for and no date to promise. This page sets out what we would have to settle before we ever offer one, so you know what to look for if we do.
What a pre-order would mean here
A pre-order would be a real sale of a product that has not reached us yet. You would agree to buy it, we would agree to send it, and both of us would be bound by the terms on this page. An email telling you that a product has arrived is not a pre-order. It would not reserve anything and it would not take a payment.
Which products would be eligible
None yet. A product would only be offered this way once a supplier has confirmed in writing how many units we will receive. We have no supplier agreements, so we cannot say which product types would qualify. When we can, each product page will say so in plain words, next to the product itself.
Official date and dispatch estimate
The date a publisher gives for a product is not the day it leaves us. Stock has to reach us first, and that can be later than the official date. If we take pre-orders, each product will show two things separately: the publisher's official date, and our own dispatch estimate. We will not present our estimate as if it were the official date. The release calendar is where we will list official dates for products we stock.
Payment
We have not chosen a payment provider. Until we have, we cannot say whether payment would be taken when you order or when the item is ready to send. This page will say which before any pre-order is offered, and the product page will say it again.
Allocation limits
A supplier can send a shop fewer units than it asked for. We have not set any rules for how a short allocation would be shared, or whether there would be a limit per customer. Those rules will be written here before we sell a single unit, and they will apply the same way to everyone.
Mixed baskets
If you order something we can send now with something that has not arrived, someone has to decide whether we hold the whole order or send it in parts. We have not decided, and we have not chosen a courier, so we cannot say what that would mean for postage. Our delivery page will carry the answer once we have one.
Delays, changes and cancellations
Publishers can move dates, and suppliers can cut allocations. If that happens, we will tell you by email as soon as we know, and you will be able to cancel for a full refund. The detailed terms, including what we do if we receive no stock at all, will be written before the first pre-order and will not be changed for orders already placed.
Your rights under UK law
These rights come from the law, not from our terms.
When you buy online, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 let you cancel without giving a reason. The cancellation period starts when the contract is made and ends 14 days after the goods reach you. For a pre-order, that means you can cancel at any point while you wait, and for 14 days after delivery. The refund has to come without undue delay, within a 14-day limit set by the regulations, and by the same payment method you used unless you agree otherwise.
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says that if no delivery time is agreed, goods must be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract. Where a time is agreed and missed, you may be entitled to end the contract and have your payment refunded. Our returns page will explain how cancelling and returning work in practice.
What is not decided yet
- Our trading name and registered company details
- Which products, if any, we would sell this way
- The payment provider, and when payment would be taken
- How short allocations would be shared, and any limit per customer
- How mixed baskets would be sent, and the courier
- The full terms for delays and for receiving no stock
How to contact us
Email hello@tcgemporium.com with any question about this page. We will add a postal address and a response time when the business details are settled. Until then, email is the only way to reach us, and the contact page will stay current.
This page will be updated when we have: Legal entity: trading name, registered company name and number, registered address; Supplier agreements confirming written allocations, which decide which products could ever be sold as pre-orders; Payment provider, and whether payment is taken at order or at dispatch; Allocation rules for short supply and any per-customer limit; Mixed-basket handling (hold whole order or split shipment) and who pays the extra postage; Courier choice and postage rates for split shipments; How dispatch estimates are set and how far ahead of the official date they are shown; Full delay, change and no-stock cancellation terms, and the refund process with the chosen payment provider; Postal address for cancellations and returns, and a stated email response time; Whether an interest or notify-me email form will exist (if it does, it must be visibly separate from any purchasable pre-order).
