A booster bundle is six booster packs from one set in a sealed printed sleeve. Nothing else is in it: no promo, no sleeves, no dice. It is the plainest way to buy a handful of packs of a set, and for a few sets it is the main way, because those sets never had a booster box.

What is in a bundle

Six packs of the set named on the sleeve, shrink-wrapped. The six are not guaranteed to cover all four pack artworks, and the bundle is not a sampler; it is simply six packs. Scarlet & Violet and Mega Evolution bundles hold ten-card packs, so a bundle is sixty cards.

The sets that only come this way

Some special sets are released without a booster box. For those, the bundle and the Elite Trainer Box are the two ways to get packs in volume. 151 is the best-known case: the English set has a booster bundle, an ETB and an Ultra-Premium Collection, and no box. Prismatic Evolutions, Ascended Heroes and the Black Bolt and White Flare pair are the same. If you want packs of one of those sets, the bundle is usually the cheapest route per pack, which is why bundles of those sets are the ones everyone asks about.

Bundle, box or ETB

Six packs against 36 in a box or nine in an ETB. The bundle wins when you want a few packs with nothing extra and no storage box to find a home for. It loses when you want more than two or three bundles, at which point a box is simpler, or when you want the ETB's promo and accessories. The four-format guide lays this out in a table.

Distributor and retail only, stated on the page. Bundle sleeves are thin, so we will look at each one for tears, re-glued seams and crushed packs before it goes on a shelf, and we will pack them in a box rather than a mailer because a bundle in a padded envelope arrives with bent corners.
