Delivery Information
We are not taking orders yet, so nothing is being posted today. This page sets out what we intend to do when we open, what UK law already says about delivery, and which details we have not decided.
Where we will deliver
We are a UK shop, but we have not yet confirmed which destinations we will post to. That depends on the courier we choose, and on tax and customs rules for parcels leaving the UK that we have not yet worked through. This page will list every supported destination before we take an order.
How dispatch will work
When an order comes in, we intend to check each item against our condition standard, pack it and hand it to the courier. We have not set our dispatch days or the time of day after which an order goes out on the next dispatch day. Both will be stated here once they are fixed.
Services, rates and free delivery
We have not chosen a courier, so there are no delivery services or rates to show. We have not decided whether there will be a spend above which delivery is free. Whatever we decide, you will see the delivery options and their costs before you place an order, which GOV.UK lists as information any online shop must give. We will take the figures on this page from the same settings the site uses to charge for delivery, so the two say the same thing.
Tracking
Whether a parcel is tracked will depend on the service. Once we have chosen our services, this page will say which ones are tracked, how the tracking details reach you and where you can follow a parcel.
Orders for products not yet released
We have not decided whether we will take orders for products that are not yet released. If we do, this page will explain how an order mixing released and unreleased items is delivered before we accept one.
Addresses we cannot deliver to
We do not yet know which address types our courier will refuse. If we cannot deliver to the address you give, the site will tell you before you pay and say why.
What the law says about delivery
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 sets the default rules, and nothing on this page takes them away. If no delivery time has been agreed, we must deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the day the contract is made (section 28). If we miss that, you can set a further period that is appropriate in the circumstances, and if the goods still do not arrive you can end the contract and we must refund what you paid without undue delay. You can end the contract straight away if we refuse to deliver, if delivery on time was essential given all the circumstances when the contract was made, or if you told us before ordering that delivery by the agreed time was essential.
The goods stay at our risk until they are in your physical possession, or that of someone you have named to receive them (section 29). The exception is a carrier you arranged yourself that we did not offer as an option. In that case the risk passes to you when we hand the goods to that carrier.
If a parcel is late, lost or damaged
Email hello@tcgemporium.com with your order number, the delivery address and what has happened. If a parcel arrives damaged, keep the packaging and photograph it before you unpack further. A parcel is at our risk until it is in your physical possession, so contact us and we will sort it out with you. How long we wait before treating a late parcel as lost depends on the courier's own rules, which we will add here once we have chosen one.
For items that arrived but are faulty or not what you wanted, see returns.
What is still to be decided
These details will be added before we open:
- the courier and the delivery services we offer
- delivery rates and whether there is a free-delivery threshold
- dispatch days and the daily cut-off time
- which services are tracked and how tracking details reach you
- whether we take orders for products not yet released, and how mixed orders are delivered
- the destinations we post to, including any outside the UK
- address types we cannot deliver to
- how long a parcel must be late before we treat it as lost
Until then, if you have a question about delivery, email hello@tcgemporium.com or use the contact page.
This page will be updated when we have: Courier or couriers chosen; Delivery services offered, with which are tracked, how tracking details reach the customer and where tracking is shown; Delivery rates per service, stored in the shipping configuration the site charges from; Free-delivery threshold, or a decision that there is none; Dispatch days and daily dispatch cut-off time; Supported destinations list, including whether any non-UK destinations are offered and the tax/customs treatment for them; Address types the courier will not deliver to, and the message shown for an unsupported address; Courier's rule for when a late parcel counts as lost, and its damage/loss claim window; Decision on whether orders for products not yet released will be taken, and if so how mixed orders are delivered; Whether dispatch and tracking emails will be sent, and from which system; Trading/company name and registered address for the trader details on policy pages; Approved revision of the delivery policy text (config shows policies status missing).
