Frequently Asked Questions
TCG Emporium has not opened, so you cannot buy anything from this site today. The answers below say what we will do when we open, what UK law already gives you, and what we have not decided yet.
Choosing products
What will you sell
Pokémon cards and accessories. The site has sections for sealed products, singles, graded cards, Japanese cards and accessories, but none is open for sale yet.
Which product should I start with
It depends on what you want to do with the cards. Our guide to product formats explains what each box holds and who it suits.
Are you an official Pokémon shop
No. We are an independent UK shop with no affiliation to The Pokémon Company or Nintendo. Pokémon and the set and product names belong to their owners.
Ordering
Can I place an order now
No. The site takes no orders and no payments, and nothing on it is an offer for sale.
Can I order a product before it is released
No. We take no orders ahead of release. If we ever do, we will first decide and publish how products are shared out when a delivery is short, when you would be charged, and what happens if a delivery is late or a product is delayed.
Which payment methods will you accept
We have not chosen a payment provider, so we cannot list payment methods yet. This answer will name them when we have.
Delivery
Who will deliver my order
We have not chosen a courier yet. The delivery page will name the service, the rates and the days we post orders once those are decided.
How long will delivery take
We cannot give delivery times until we have a courier. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 sets the default: unless we agree another time with you, goods must reach you without undue delay and within 30 days of the day you order.
What happens if my parcel goes missing
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods stay at the seller's risk until they reach you or someone you have named to receive them. A parcel lost on its way to you is ours to sort out.
Returns and problems
Can I change my mind after buying online
Yes. For goods bought online you can cancel within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason, then you have another 14 days to send the goods back. We must refund you within 14 days of getting them back, or of you showing you have posted them if that is sooner. The returns page will set out how.
Who pays for return postage
We have not decided. The law lets a shop ask you to pay it only if the shop told you before you ordered, and the returns page will say which way we go.
Can I return a pack I have opened
You can still cancel, but the law lets a shop reduce the refund where handling goes beyond what you need to examine the goods. Opening a sealed pack goes further than examining it, so a refund for an opened pack may be reduced.
What if something arrives damaged or not as described
You can reject goods that are faulty or not as described for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that you can ask for a repair or replacement, and for the first six months a seller who refuses has to show the item was not faulty when sold.
Condition and authenticity
How will you describe the condition of singles
Every single card we list will carry a grade from our condition standard, which sets out in plain words what each grade allows.
Will your products be genuine
We will sell only genuine product, and every sealed item will be factory sealed. The authenticity page is where our checks and your options will be written down.
Do you grade cards yourselves
No. Graded cards we sell will stay in the case of the company that graded them, such as PSA, CGC or Beckett, and that company's grade is the one we will state.
Contact and account
How do I contact you
Email hello@tcgemporium.com. The contact page says what to write to us about.
Can I create an account
No. The site has no accounts and no sign-in. If we add accounts, this page and our privacy notice will say what they store.
Who runs TCG Emporium
TCG Emporium is a UK trading name. The legal name and postal address of the business will be published before we open. About us says more.
