Best Mega Evolution Chase Cards and Current Values

Mega Lucario ex 188 is the Mega Evolution chase card, but the top of the set is tight. The middle of its recent raw sales is about £146, and Mega Gardevoir ex 187 and Mega Lucario ex 179 sit within about £20 of it. Recent sales are thin, so treat the order as current rather than settled.

Where a card has four or five recent sales we quote the middle sale only, because that is too few to trim into a range. Mega Latias ex 181 and Mega Gardevoir ex 178 are left out because they have fewer than four recent raw sales. Mega Lucario ex 188

The gold Mega Hyper Rare, and the top of the table. The card is all gold foil, with Mega Lucario in outline against a large circular pattern. It reads as a different kind of card from the colourful illustration rares below it.

Five raw sales between 15 and 17 October ran from £111 to £465, with a middle of about £146. That is a very wide spread, so one sale tells you little. A PSA 10 has a median of about £527, roughly three and a half times a raw copy, and 2,821 copies hold that grade.

Mega Gardevoir ex 187

The other gold card, and level with the art cards. It is the same gold treatment as the Lucario, this time with Gardevoir in outline. Four raw sales between 15 and 16 October ran from £124 to £158, with a middle of about £127.

A PSA 10 sells for about £442, and 1,959 copies have that grade. That is the smallest PSA 10 population of any card in the top five.

Mega Lucario ex 179

The illustration rare version. Furusawa has Lucario mid-strike on a city street, with red and blue slashes of colour around it and Mega Venusaur looming in the top corner. It sells for about £124 raw, close to the gold Gardevoir.

The graded side is very different from the gold Lucario. 14,100 copies have a PSA 10, so a 10 sells for about £263, roughly twice a raw copy. Lots of graded supply keeps the premium small.

Mega Venusaur ex 177

The loudest card in the set. mashu paints Venusaur in bright pink, green and teal, with leaves filling the frame. Four raw sales on 17 October put the middle at about £87, and a PSA 10 sells for about £157.

• Lillie's Determination 184 by satoma is a Special Illustration Rare at about £37 raw. The Ultra Rare version, number 169, is £12 to £19 raw.
• Mega Absol ex 180 by Mitsuhiro Arita is about £32 raw.
• Acerola's Mischief 183 by sui is £19 to £24 raw, from eight sales.
• Wally's Compassion 186 by Jiro Sasumo is £14 to £17 raw, from eight sales, and has the smallest PSA 10 population in the list at 1,265.

How we priced these cards

We read the most recent raw eBay completed sales for each card, up to ten, from CardTrack's sold-sales ledger, which covers the UK, US and other eBay sites. With six or more sales we drop the single highest and lowest, then quote the range of the rest. With four or five we quote the middle sale and the sale count. Dollars are converted at £0.7499 (16 October 2026).

A note on pull rates

Collector notes

• Two Mega Lucario ex and two Mega Gardevoir ex. The gold cards are 188 and 187, and the illustration rares are 179 and 178. The number is the only quick way to tell which one a listing means, and the gold ones sell for more.
• Two Lillie's Determination. Number 184 is the Special Illustration Rare and 169 the Ultra Rare, at about £37 and £18 raw.
• Illustrators with two cards. 5ban Graphics drew both gold cards, 188 and 187. Atsushi Furusawa drew Mega Lucario ex 179 and Lillie's Determination 169.
• Graded supply varies a lot. The gold Lucario has 2,821 PSA 10 copies, the illustration rare Lucario 14,100. Compare several graded sales before you pay above the median.
• Check the reverse holo isn't being sold as something more. Main-set cards have reverse holo versions that share the standard card's number. Our guide to holo and reverse holo cards shows the difference.
