How to Check One Piece Cards Value

Identify the exact One Piece card, match completed sales on language, condition and grade, and allow for fees before you buy or sell.

By · Published · Updated · 6 min read

To find your One Piece cards value, identify the exact card by its number, rarity and artwork, then compare it with recent completed sales of the same version in the same language and condition. Take the middle of those sales rather than the highest, and subtract what selling will cost you.

Asking prices show what sellers hope to get. Completed sales show what buyers paid, and even those need sorting. This guide takes the steps in order and uses real One Piece cards as the examples.

Identify the exact card first

Every card prints a card number, a rarity and a block symbol. The Comprehensive Rules list all three as parts of the card, and the card number is the one that names it, for example OP13-118. A name alone is not enough, because one card number can come in several versions.

The official card search shows how many. OP13-118 Monkey.D.Luffy appears five times: four versions at Secret Rare and one at Special Card. They share a name and a number and look nothing alike.

Table: Identify the exact card first
Card numberWhere it was printedRarity in the card search

OP13-118 Monkey.D.LuffyCarrying On His Will (OP-13), four versionsSecret Rare

Sales of one row tell you nothing about another. Open the official card search, filter by the series printed on your card, find the number and compare the artwork with your card before you look up a single price. Our Carrying On His Will page is a starting point for that set.

Rarity changes the price, not how the card plays

The Comprehensive Rules say a card's rarity does not affect gameplay, and a deck can hold no more than four cards with the same card number. Every version of a number counts toward that limit, so a Super Alt-Art plays exactly like the standard card.

That is why the price gap between versions is a collector's premium. A player gets the same card from the cheapest version, so the extra a collector pays is for the artwork and the rarity. Bandai's name for the cards collectors call Manga Rares is Super Alt-Art, and our guide to One Piece chase cards lists them by set.

Match language, condition and grade

Language. Bandai runs separate versions of its site in Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, English and French. A sale of a Japanese or Chinese card is not a sale of the English one, even when the artwork looks the same. Look up English sales for English cards.

Condition. Cardmarket grades raw cards on seven steps: Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, Good, Light Played, Played and Poor. A sale of a Played copy says little about a Near Mint one. Grade your own card honestly, then compare it with sales at the same step.

Grade. A graded card is a different product from a raw one, and each grader and each grade is a separate product. According to Sports Illustrated, the Red Manga Alt Art Monkey D. Luffy from Carrying On His Will sold for $99.7K as a PSA 10 in November 2025 and $104.4K as a BGS 10 in February 2026. A Red Manga Alt Art Luffy then sold for $165,100 as a BGS 10 Black Label in July 2026, in a report that does not name the set. Three grades, three prices. Our guide to One Piece card grading covers the routes and fees.

Check how old the sale is

One Piece prices move, so the date on a sale matters as much as the figure. Every sale we quote in these guides carries its date for that reason.

New sets are the most volatile. Sports Illustrated's roundup of the first sales from The World's Strongest Warriors, which came out on 28 August 2026, listed a Monkey D. Luffy SP at $23,000 on 25 August and a Shanks Manga, OP17-022, at $2,311 on 23 August, with no grades stated. Treat prices in a set's first weeks as a snapshot, not a settled figure.

Read a small set of completed sales

Collect the last five to ten completed sales that match on card number, version, language, condition and grade. Discard anything that looks wrong, such as a damaged copy or a lot sold with other cards. Take the middle figure, not the highest, and write down the dates beside it.

If you cannot find five matching sales, say so. A range from two sales is a guess, and the honest answer for a rare version is often "too few sales to value".

The tools called a One Piece card price checker or price list do this gathering for you. Before you trust one, test it on a card you have already valued by hand. A good one shows the individual dated sales behind each figure and keeps raw and graded apart. If it gives one number with nothing behind it, treat that as an opinion.

What a booster pack costs

Bandai publishes a recommended retail price in US dollars on each product page, and no pound price. Packs from OP-10 to OP-17 are listed at USD $4.99 per pack, the OP-07 to OP-09 packs at USD $4.49, and the Premium Boosters at USD $5.49. The pages we read give no price for a box.

That is the official starting point for a booster box retail price, and it is a US figure. What a UK shop charges is its own decision. You can see sealed product on our One Piece booster boxes page.

Account for selling costs

What a buyer pays and what you keep are different numbers. The table gives the published position for UK private sellers on two venues, as checked on 2 November 2026. Fees change, so read the source page before you list.

Table: Account for selling costs
VenueWhat the venue says a UK private seller paysDate checked
eBayNo final value fees or regulatory operating fees when an item sells, except motors. 300 free listings a month, then 35p for each additional listing. A 3% international fee when the item is delivered outside the UK. All fees shown include VAT at 20%.2 November 2026
VintedZero selling fees. Buyers pay a Vinted fee on top, which the site does not put a figure on.2 November 2026

Postage comes out of the same sum, and so does any grading fee. CGC's London office, for example, charges £54 including VAT per card at its Standard level, plus return postage. Put your costs against the estimate and write the assumption down beside the result.

Questions

How do I check a One Piece card value?

Find the card number and version in the official card search, then read five to ten recent completed sales that match its language, condition and grade. Take the middle figure and note the dates.

Is a Manga Rare worth more than the standard card?

The rarity does not change how the card plays, so the extra is a collector's premium. The size of the gap depends on the card and the sales, and the only way to know is to compare completed sales of both versions.

What is the retail price of a One Piece booster pack?

Bandai lists USD $4.99 per pack for OP-10 to OP-17, USD $4.49 for OP-07 to OP-09 and USD $5.49 for Premium Boosters. These are US dollar prices from the official site, and a UK shop sets its own pound price.

Where can I sell One Piece cards?

Two common UK routes are eBay and Vinted. eBay says UK private sellers pay no final value fee, and Vinted says it charges zero selling fees. Our chase cards guide shows which cards are worth looking up first, and the biggest One Piece card sales show what the top end reaches.
