Most Expensive One Piece Card Sales
The biggest reported One Piece card sales, why tournament prize cards lead, and what the best pack cards have sold for.

The most expensive One Piece card sold at public auction is a 2024 Chinese Year One World Championship 1st Place Monkey D. Luffy Trophy Card, which made $713,700 at Goldin in August 2026. ICv2 reports that figure includes the buyer's premium and calls it the record for the most expensive One Piece card ever sold. The Comics Beat calls it the all-time highest public sale for any One Piece card.
That card was never in a booster pack. It is a gold-embossed prize given to the winner of the World Championship in China, sold in an 8 x 8-inch display. Cards you can pull from packs sell for far less, and the best of them still reach six figures once they are graded.
The biggest reported One Piece card sales
This is every large sale we could confirm from a named auction house result or a named news report, ranked by the price as reported. It is not a complete ranking. Private sales are not public, and a card can sell without anyone writing it up.
| Card | Grade | Price reported | Where | When | Reported by |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 Chinese Year One World Championship 1st Place Monkey D. Luffy Trophy Card | None stated | $713,700 (buyer's premium included) | Goldin Summer TCG Elite Auction | August 2026 | ICv2, The Comics Beat |
| 2024 Korean Serialized Top Prize Monkey D. Luffy ST01-001 (#001/077), in original display box | None stated | $440,420 | Goldin | 17 May 2026 | Sports Illustrated |
| 2023 Championship World Finals gold Monkey D. Luffy promo, OP05-119, English | CGC Pristine 10 | $315,600 | An online auction | 4 December 2025 | CGC Cards |
| 2023-24 Simplified Chinese Championship 2023 Top Prize Winner Monkey D. Luffy ST01-001 (#001/248) | BGS Gem Mint 9.5 | $305,000 | Goldin Summer TCG Elite Auction | August 2026 | The Comics Beat |
| 2025 Red Manga Alt Art Monkey D. Luffy (set not named in the report) | BGS 10 Black Label | $165,100 | An online sale | 12 July 2026 | Sports Illustrated |
| 2025 Red Manga Alt Art Monkey D. Luffy, Carrying On His Will | BGS 10 | $104.4K | Not named | 2 February 2026 | Sports Illustrated |
| 2025 Red Manga Alt Art Monkey D. Luffy, Carrying On His Will | PSA 10 | $99.7K | Not named | November 2025 | Sports Illustrated |
| Japanese Bronze version of the OP05-119 tournament promo (Sports Illustrated calls it similar to the English gold card) | CGC 10 | $72,263 | Not named | 1 January 2026 | Sports Illustrated |
All figures carry a dollar sign in the reports, and none of them names the currency. We have not converted anything. Only the top row says whether the buyer's premium is in the price, so treat the others as the figure the reporter printed. Sports Illustrated's 1 June 2026 piece prints the gold promo's price as $315,6000, an apparent typo, so the table uses CGC's own $315,600.
The two Goldin reports disagree on when the summer auction closed, giving 9 August in one and 10 August in the other, which is why the date above says August 2026. Sports Illustrated's March 2026 piece also lists a 2023 Top Prize Luffy numbered out of 700 at $59.1K on 5 February 2026, but does not say which grade sold, so it is left out of the table.
Why prize cards sit at the top
Every card in the top four is a tournament or contest prize, not a pack pull.
- Numbered copies. The Korean prize card is numbered 001 of 77, and the Chinese Championship prize is numbered out of 248. A serial number shows how many exist, and these runs are small.
- A championship prize. ICv2 says the record card was a gold-embossed card given to the winner of the World Championship in China. It does not say how many were made.
- Cards that were never handed out. CGC says the gold English World Finals promo was meant for the first-place winner but was not distributed, because the winner received the Japanese version. A collector later obtained it and sent it to CGC.
Which is the rarest One Piece card?
On the evidence we could find, the rarest One Piece cards are the prize cards, not the pack cards. A card numbered out of 77 has a supply you can count, and so does a prize given to a champion. Print runs for booster cards are not published on the pages we read.
Inside a set, Bandai's product pages list how many card types sit in each rarity. The official page for Royal Blood (OP-10), for example, lists 2 Secret Rares, 6 Special Cards and 1 Treasure Rare, against 45 Commons and 30 Uncommons. The pages we read give those counts but no pull rates, so we cannot tell you the odds of opening any of them. Our guide to One Piece chase cards goes through the top rarities set by set.
What the best pack cards sell for
The cards collectors call Manga Rares match what Bandai calls Super Alt-Art. The official Carrying On His Will page says a Super Alt-Art has the entire card covered with designs from the manga, and its card showcase shows Monkey.D.Luffy OP13-118, Portgas.D.Ace OP13-119 and Sabo OP13-120 with Super Alt-Art versions. That set came out on 7 November 2025. The page also names a Red Super Alt-Art, made for that set only, and sale reports call the Luffy with the highest pack-card sales the Red Manga Alt Art.
Manga is a nickname, and Bandai's wording can attach to more than one rarity. In the official card search, OP13-118 Luffy is a Secret Rare, while OP17-022 Shanks, one of the four Super Alt-Arts on the OP-17 page, is listed as a Super Rare. So the rarity printed on a card does not tell you whether it has manga art.
The Red Manga Alt Art Luffy is the best-documented pack card in the table above. Sports Illustrated places it in Carrying On His Will for the $99.7K PSA 10 sale in November 2025 and the $104.4K BGS 10 sale in February 2026. For the $165,100 BGS 10 Black Label sale in July 2026 it prints the same card name without naming the set. Those are three different grades from two companies, so compare like with like before you read a trend into them.
Newer sets
The World's Strongest Warriors (OP-17) came out on 28 August 2026. Sports Illustrated's roundup of its first sales listed these, all in August 2026 and with no grade stated:
| Card | Price reported | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Monkey D. Luffy SP | $23,000 | 25 August 2026 |
| Rocks.D.Xebec Super Alt-Art | $8,096 | 26 August 2026 |
| Monkey D. Luffy Super Leader Alt-Art, OP17-079 | $6,000 | 21 August 2026 |
| Shanks Manga, OP17-022 | $2,311 | 23 August 2026 |
Prices in a set's first weeks can move fast, so read these as a snapshot. Our guide to valuing One Piece cards shows how to check the current figure for a card you own.
Are One Piece cards valuable?
Some are, and the sales above show how far the top end goes. The Comprehensive Rules say rarity does not affect gameplay, and a deck can hold no more than four cards with the same card number. Every version of a card number counts toward the same limit of four, so a Manga alt art plays exactly like the standard version.
So the price gap is about collecting. A player gets the same card from the cheapest version, and collectors pay for the art, the rarity and the condition. If you are weighing up a graded copy, our PSA grades explained page covers the scale.
